There is a biographical entry for Mansfield at page 253 where he is described as “Britain’s most distinguished problem composer” and one of his two-movers is given at page 258.

His column in ‘The Sunday Telegraph’ was unambitious in as much as it was almost without news but it gave a flavour of the game as might be gleaned by a commuter or the causally interested. None of his games spring to mind but I’m sure there are still some sculling about.
